El Tropico has been a local favorite for over 15 years. At El Tropico you will find authentic hand crafted ice cream in traditional and unique flavors. Tropico uses the finest and freshest ingredients, ensuring that each scoop is truly a treat. We also produce paletas (fruit pops), fruit drinks, and a variety of snacks. Our founder, Agustin Andrade is a third generation Ice cream maker. He and his wife, Penelope, began their dream to become the best ice cream makers in Amarillo, in 2003. Their success was proven due to the need to expand the Tropico brand in other nearby cities creating Tropico licensees. Our Treats can now be enjoyed in Hereford TX, Perryton TX, Borger TX , Clovis NM, Friona TX and at our two stores in Amarillo, TX. Each of these licensees have embraced their community and are contributing to their local economies. We are proud of each location and hope to keep expanding our brand.
